Producer Profit's 2nd Annual #thisisfarming Contest!

Farming is a unique Profession. Working the land does not come with set hours, we WISH 9 - 5 was enough time each day to accomplish what needs to be done.

Farming definitely has its own set of challenges, it is the only occupation where no matter how many hours a day you work, your livelihood is completely dependent on something that is out of your hands, the weather.

Common misconceptions of farming may be that we work a few hours a day and spend the rest on our yards, or that we don’t work in the winter. That we all have the luxury of escaping to our second homes in Arizona.

Those who do not farm do not see the hardships, the stresses of working the land into something we are proud to put our names on. The tractor getting stuck, maybe the dryer catching fire? Or the heartbreak of green canola.

Producer Profit's #thisisfarming Contest highlight's the hardships, heartbreaks & the epic wins of farming! Regardless of what it is, we want YOU to help US show the general public what farming truly is!

Our contest will use the hashtag #thisisfarming

Let’s show and tell what our day to day lives consist of and why we still choose to work the land year after year.

2021 #thisisfarming Contest Rules & Instructions

1. Post a Photo on social media that highlights what farming truly is to you!

*Photos must be posted on either Instagram, Facebook or Twitter for Producer Profit to be notified!

2. Your Photo must include a small caption explaining what is happening in the photo.

3. Photo caption must have @producerprofit tagged!

*If you do not tag @producerprofit we will not be able to see your contest submission!

4. Photo caption must include the hashtag #thisisfarming

Fifth Place Submission: Crooked Lake Farms

"This was probably one of the best years for harvest weather we've had in awhile. While we had many long days & not many weather breaks, we finished yesterday before the rain shower came through. This year I was able to get in quite a bit of combine time & this kid has enjoyed being a copilot! Also our oldest ran combine for most of the harvest for 8+ hours a day - at 14 that's some long work days AFTER completing a few hours of homeschool. #thisisfarming @producerprofit"
